Fever Pitch - Rainbow Kitten Surprise

I'll be the first to admit that band names rope me in as much as the sound does, and I was not immune to Rainbow Kitten Surprise. (I mean, c'mon.)
This genre-defying group hails from the mountains of North Carolina, and is redefining indie music with their dynamic instrumentals and lively lyrics. I love the progression of "Fever Pitch" and the energy it embodies, and have been impatiently waiting to push this track on all of you.
Maxamillion Polo of Ones to Watch interviewed the outfit and reported that frontman Sam Melo and guitarist/vocalist Darrick “Bozzy” Keller visited a friend being treated for bacterial meningitis during the early days of the bands formation. "Whether it be a prophetic-like vision of what the band would ultimately become or the result of a drug-induced word association due to this friend’s morphine drip," Polo wrote, "the name Rainbow Kitten Surprise was born in that hospital room."
Rainbow Kitten Surprise is on tour now - thankfully stopping through the Midwest - and is experiencing a rapid-fire trajectory that I don't see fizzing out.
